The Philippines is located in Southeastern Asia just east of Vietnam, between the Philippine and South China Sea. In comparison to the Continental US area, the total area of the Philippines is close to four percent of the United States and is slightly larger than Arizona (The World Fact Book). The Philippines consists of 7,107 different islands divided into three groups being: Luzon, Mindanao, and Visayas.
